Landscape Architecture
Chenoweth EPLA's range of consultancy services extend from concept sketch design and master planning through to documentation and contract administration, with particular expertise in ecologically-sustainable development (ESD), park management and landscape evaluation. Our approach is both innovative and practical, responding to site analysis, user needs and client requirements to create attractive, effective and manageable settings. Communication and quality control also ensure a collaborative process of design development and cost estimates. The integration of ecology and design is a cornerstone of our practice, and contributes to our distinctive market position. We aim to achieve best practice in ESD design, in close collaboration with clients and local government. This expertise in environmental responsible design is combined with a commitment to enhancing human experiences in urban settings, tourism/leisure facilities, parks and natural areas. A range of 'place-making' strategies are used to create or reinforce a sense of place, conveyed through effective graphic communication, community/stakeholder consultation and collaboration. Our multi-disciplinary skills allow value-adding to landscape projects by integrating visual impact assessment, town planning, revegetation, environmental management plans, open space & recreation, horticultural & park management expertise and environmental studies. Continuing development of professional skills and computer technology, plus regular collaboration with Whitsunday-based landscape architects UPLAN, maintain our expertise and enthusiasm as well as sharing ideas. We are familiar with local government requirements regarding landscape plans and environmental management, and have prepared such policies and codes for Councils and community title developments.
