Landscape Architecture

The environmental design capabilities of Cardno Chenoweth includes two Registered Landscape Architects and a team of qualified professionals with a wide range of skills in design, and related fields. Our multi-disciplinary skills allow value-adding to landscape projects by integrating visual impact assessment, town planning and urban design, revegetation, horticulture and planting design, as well as open space, recreations and park management.

The integration of ecology and design is a cornerstone of our practice, and contributes to our distinctive market position. We aim to achieve best practice in ESD design, in close collaboration with clients and local government. This expertise in environmental responsible design is combined with a commitment to enhancing human experiences and environmental management in urban settings, community title developments, tourism/leisure facilities, parks and natural areas.

Our approach is both innovative and practical, responding to site analysis, user needs and client requirements to create attractive, sustainable and manageable settings. Communication and quality controls also ensure a collaborative process of concepts, design development and cost estimates.

Continuing development of professional skills and computer technology, plus regular collaboration with Whitsunday-based landscape architects UPLAN, maintain our skills and familiarity with current best practice, and the sharing of ideas. Cardno Chenoweth has assisted many Councils in Queensland to develop prepared policies and codes for landscape and conservation issues, so we are familiar with local government requirements regarding landscape plans, rehabilitation, waterways, WSUD and environmental management.
