November 2011 - Chenoweth and Humphreys Reynolds Perkins Merge with Cardno

Brisbane, Qld. (November 25, 2011) - Chenoweth Environmental Planning & Landscape Architecture, as part of the Humphreys Reynolds Perkins Group (HRP), joined international firm Cardno in a merger announced yesterday afternoon.

The merger with Cardno, a professional services firm founded in 1945 with headquarters in Brisbane, Australia, means that Chenoweth EPLA, an 11-person environmental planning and landscape architecture consulting firm becomes a key part of an international industry leader with a combined resource base of more than 4,600 staff working on projects in more than 85 countries.

Cardno's objective in acquiring Chenoweth EPLA is to continue the strategy of diversification to facilitate further growth and cross selling with the Company's well established Queensland multidisciplinary consultancy services in the transport and urban infrastructure markets.

The acquisition of Chenoweth EPLA includes parent company, HRP. A 65-person town planning, firm with offices on the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and North Queensland.

The new businesses will be branded Cardno Chenoweth and Cardno HRP.

Chenoweth EPLA is focused on the 'green' areas of ecology, landscape amenity and open space and within this niche, provides expert services across a broad range of clients and project types. These projects range from site-specific ecological and scenic assessments and designs, Planning & Environment Court appeals and single-issue reports, to larger research studies and multi-disciplinary investigations.
